Huskies Fall to West Chester in Women's Basketball

BLOOMSBURG-- The Bloomsburg University women's basketball team lost to West Chester on Wednesday night by a score of 65-61.

Bloomsburg trailed by just four at the break, 29-25, but saw the Golden Rams take a 12-point lead at 51-39 with 5:37 to play. The Huskies then rallied behind the Collen Kegerreis (Schuylkill Haven/Schuylkill Haven) who scored six points in a 12-4 run to get Bloomsburg to within four at 55-51 with 2:45 to play. West Chester was able to push the lead to 65-55 with 43 seconds to go, but, the Huskies could get no closer than the final margin of four points.

Kegerreis scored 22 points and had 11 rebounds for the Huskies, while Stephanie Jones (Philadelphia/Manor College) added 14 and Lauren Healy (Glenmoore/Owen J. Roberts) 12. West Chester got 18 points and 11 rebounds from Renata Neal.

Bloomsburg, 7-19, 2-9 in the PSAC East, will close out its season on Saturday at Mansfield starting at 1 p.m.
